We’ve Made Some Important Changes

We’ve changed the navigation system and some of the pages on our website. Here’s what we did and why.

Hi guys! We made some changes to our site today, and it’s important that we explain what we’ve done.

Firstly, the Contact Us page has now been deleted and it’s contents integrated into the universal footer of our website, except the map which we’ve moved to About Us.

Second, we’ve deleted the dedicated blog page and integrated the most recent posts and post archives by month into the Home Page.

Finally, we’ve changed the navigation on our website to be more friendly with smaller screens. About, Services, Shop and Log Out sections have remained in their original position at the top of all pages, and we’ve added an additional pop-out menu which includes all pages and sections.

To access the new pop-out menu, simply click the button labelled “Menu” with 3 dots to the right of the original menu and it should appear right before your eyes!

Quick tip – when navigating our website, you don’t need to expand the new menu to go back to the home page! Clicking our logo in the top-left corner will take you there directly.

Why did we make these changes?

Quite simply, we’re trying to make our site work as best we can on a wide range of screen sizes and types. Our site’s design phase will soon be complete, which will mean that larger design changes like these won’t happen nearly as often. There’s nothing more annoying than a company that moves everything on it’s site all the time, making everything difficult to find. We all remember Maplin’s website.

What do you think about the new navigation system? Leave us your feedback in the comments and we’ll try to address everyone’s thoughts.
